32nd Annual Texas T Party

This year’s tour will be filled with true Southern hospitality as you tour the back roads and piney woods of East Texas.  It will be the 32^nd annual T Party hosted by Houston’s Space City T’s.

This year we have a beautiful East Texas tour lined up for you!  The tour will officially start on Thursday, October 7^th with registration and breakfast.  However, the Tyler area is full of interesting things to see and scenic country roads, therefore we will be offering a Pre-Tour on Wednesday afternoon for those of you who are able to arrive in Tyler Wednesday morning.   There will also be an Encore Tour on Sunday morning for those who just can’t get enough and want a quick morning out before they have to go home.

 

We have tried especially hard this year to keep the tour costs down and encourage young drivers and families to come on tour.  The tour fee for the 2009 Texas T Party will be $125 for a car and driver and $100 for passengers.  Children 15 and under will be free of charge.  So invite the younger people you know to join us on the back roads of East Texas.  Model T’s are a family event!

 

The host hotel for our tour will be the Holiday Inn in Tyler.  They have given us a group rate of $89 a night.  You will need to contact the hotel directly at 903-561-5800 to book your rooms, please mention that you are with the Texas T Party when you make your reservations for the group discount.  The hotel will allow pets, but there will be a small pet deposit that is refundable if no damage is done.  RV Parks near-by include the #1 RV Park of Tyler 903-597-6966 and the East Tx State Fair Assoc. Please fill it out a registration form and mail it in with your tour fees.  Make checks payable to the Texas T Party.  As in the past, we plan to offer individual meals for friends you want to introduce to our hobby just for a day.

 

So with that said, send in your forms, mark your calendar, make your reservations, and tell your Model T friends and family to come join us for a beautiful tour.  We are looking forward to an exciting 32^nd Texas T Party.

9:00am – 5:30pm           - Tour of Jacksonville Area including Love’s Lookout Park, Lake Jacksonville, Texas Basket Company, Kiepersol Estates Winery.  Lunch at Stamp’s (old post office)

Mineola - Friday, Oct. 9^th (90 miles)

9:00am – 5:00pm           - Tour of Kilgore Area including East Texas Oil Museum, World’s Richest Acre Park, New London Museum and Tea Room.  Lunch at Country Tavern BBQ  in Kilgore.

6:00pm – 7:00pm           - Drinks and Social Hour in the Ballroom

7:00pm – 9:00pm           - Banquet Dinner

Encore Tour - Sunday, Oct. 11^th (25 miles)
